The Museum of Costumes and Traditions of São Bartolomeu de Messines displays pieces related to the popular traditions of that town, from the late 19th century, early 20th century.
This place tells about the working life in the countryside and the land, which was the engine of the local economy, dedicated to the production mainly of dried fruits (carob, almonds and figs) but also the production of olive oil and shepherding.
It is located at the entrance of this village, in a typical house of the Algarve interior, recovered for this purpose.
A place that deserves your visit!
